This is my first video of some video series about how to make coin system for our Unity game.
In this part I’ll be showing to you how to import 3D coin object to our Unity game, make it a prefab, adding a trigger collider and making it disappear (hide it) when we (player object) reach it.
In this part we are going to work on how to add coin display text on user’s screen. Also how to save and retreive coin data using Unity PlayerPrefs.
By the end of this tutorial, when we get the coin object on this game, our coin display text on our screen will be updated accordingly, accumulating the new coin we got and our previous coins.
Even if we stopped the game and play it again, the coins value is saved and we can continue to get more coins.
